We lived next door to Carol for only 4 years but she made a big impression on us in that short time and we loved her. Our back doors faced each other and most days we would pop outside for a chat... She was so thoughtful, and would often pick us up bread and cakes from the bakery for no reason other than to be kind. Her grandchildren clearly adored her and they were always in and out of the house, and my kids were always welcome too. She would always buy them little gifts for Christmas and Easter, they thought she was the best!

When I was clearly going into labour with my third child, Carol came in and took much needed control! She made sure I was ok, kicked us both into gear, and looked after my children when we rushed off to hospital.

She was kind, thoughful, funny and welcoming... to us she was the perfect neighbour and friend, and living on this road won’t be the same without her, we will miss her terribly.
